Built 1826 at Portaferry by Gelston
and owned by Scott & Patrickson of Sligo, she traded mostly between Sligo
and Portaferry.
- At
time of loss she was bound Sligo for London carrying mostly butter with some general
provisions.
- Struck
"Blind Rocks" in Aranmore Sound.
- Some
of the crew were thrown overboard.
- Pilot,
Tom ODonnell managed to anchor her for some time, but she was driven onto
Duck Island, eventually drifting off and sinking South West of Rutland Island.
- All
onboard were lost including the Pilot, and the Captain William Crangle from Portaferry
and a shareholder in the company.
